I found the meals to be very acceptable
Very friendly staff
Over three nights, the hot water was only lukewarm.
The staff were wonderful - nothing was too much trouble and they were very friendly without being intrusive. The hotel is clean and has recently been redecorated so the paintwork and carpets are all fresh. The food was delicious although I was surprised at the limited amount of pasta for an Italian restaurant! There was plenty of parking and it is only about a mile from the train station so perfect for a visit to Stockport. I would definitely stay here again.
It was comfortable, the staff were very pleasant, breakfast was good and altough there was a wedding on our room was quiet at night.
We really liked this hotel. Attentive staff, hotel clean and restaurant good value for money.
I travelled with my elderly mother who had a bad knee.I requested a room on the lowest level of access possible. This was provided. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The food was excellent.Staff service was also excellent, and I would particularly like to highjight Christine Noonan, who was so warm and welcoming in her manner, and ever at hand to assist my mother and to make her stay memorable. She is a real asset to this hotel. We would definitely stay again without hesitation.
Staff very good , meal and sevice excelent, room neat and tidy
The fact the conference I was attending was being held there. Wireless connectivity for laptop.
TV in room wasn't working.
Friendly welcome , first class meals served during my stay.
Friendly and helpful staff
Being asked to pay in full on arrival instead of just leaving card.
We asked for a quiet room and the one that we got was certainly quiet - even during the singles night on Sunday! Breakfast was good. Location for us was perfect - we use bus passes a lot and the bus stop is opposite the hotel for both Stockport and Manchester (the 192). Stockport itself was a pleasant surprise, having a lot of places of interest. I had trouble with the wi-fi internet connection - this may have been just me! - but we were given a connecting cable to use, which was nice of the hotel, and after that had no problems
Television reception was a bit erratic.
my daughter and i booked in to the alma lodge for the weekend as we were going to a concert in manchester. the reception sraff were very helpful when we arrived. we asked if we could have a continental breakfast in the morning as we had to leave early in the morning. the night porter arranged this for us in the morning. he was friendly and nothing was any bother to him. i will certainly book here again and will recomend the hotel to friends.
although I only stayed here as somewhere to 'lay my head' after a family function, I was delighted in the standard of my single room, It was spacious, clean and comfortable. When I came home after my event, I was a little concerned to hear the disco belting away, but this finished at 1am and was not an issue. . . and I 'bopped' around my room until it finished!
The room and bathroom were spotless. The room was a triple and was a little on the small side but real issue. Staff were great and very helpful. For a triple room on B&B rate overall it was fantastic value.
Staff friendly and helpful. Made you feel welcome. Tea and coffee facilities in room. Nice clean towels. A restaurant that was reasonable quality. Excellent waiting staff service.
Musty smell in corridor, however this did not seep into the room, which was perfect.
